The new features of Android 10 (the OS formerly known as Android Q) were first unveiled at Google's annual developer conference I/O.
Here's a list of all the best features to look out for in Android 10:
Dark Theme- A dark theme was the most requested feature in phones, which Google has finally acknowledged. This feature will enable you to have the entire system in a darker hue, and the objective is to make it easier on the eyes and to keep your battery alive longer. Users can set times for switching the mode of their phones any time they want. Moreover, you can easily turn on the dark theme: just access the display section in the phone's settings.
Live Caption- Live caption automatically adds subtitles to videos, podcasts and audio messages just with a single tap (tapping the volume button and the icon below the volume slider), and without ever needing wifi or cell phone data since real-time captions are created through on-device machine learning and will appear the moment speech is detected.
Smart Reply- Google's Smart Reply feature will be available in third-party messaging apps, such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc., which uses machine learning (ML) to suggest three short responses that might suit the message you received. Smart Reply in Android 10 also suggests actionable functions, for example, when someone sends you an address, you'll be able to click on it to open it in Google Maps; in the same way when it comes to a video, open it directly on YouTube.
Privacy Controls And Share Location Securely- Get all the privacy settings in one place, such as web and app activity, ad settings, and others will be grouped together under the new Privacy section in the settings. Have more control over the location data you share with apps since Android 10 features a new dedicated location section in the phone's privacy settings.
Gesture Navigation- It goes without saying that gestures are now quicker and more intuitive than ever. Silent Notifications- Users with this feature will have more control over the number of notifications they receive and the time at which they receive them.
